Our History

Michelle Adams and Yvonne Mazzotta have always had a thing for beauty. As the Artistic and Creative Directors at KMS Research Inc., an international hair product manufacturer in Redding, California, they worked side by side to create eye-catching marketing pieces – from shampoo bottles to cootie catchers – for KMS.

In 2004, KMS was sold and its headquarters moved to Baltimore. Michelle and Yvonne, both having strong roots in Northern California, gathered up the rest of the KMS marketing team and started planning. Along with graphic designers Matt Briner, Ronda Ball and James Mazzotta, they began a campaign to compete for KMS’s 2005 package design re-launch, knowing they would no longer be the “in-house marketing” team. They worked with bottle manufacturers designing new bottles, digging deep into color theory, studying the latest design trends and putting their talents to work, creating a story of a butterfly (metamorphosis).

In February 2005, InHouse Marketing Group was born. KMS offered Michelle and Yvonne a contract to do a large portion of their marketing materials. InHouse Marketing was in business! Other local businesses, aware of the type of work the KMS team was capable of, hired InHouse for their marketing needs as well. Michelle and Yvonne brought Ronda and Matt to their new business on Lake Boulevard and the creative juices kept flowing.

Yvonne and her husband, James, brought another idea to the team. While visiting family in the Central Valley, they picked up a beautifully done regional magazine and thought it would fit perfectly in Northern California. After more than a year of examining, planning and seeking advice from family and friends in the publishing and advertising business, Enjoy, a 48-page regional magazine, was printed and distributed to 15,000 people in Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity counties. The community embraced it, and it has been growing strong ever since.

InHouse Marketing and Enjoy Magazine continue to evolve. Enjoy, almost twice the size as it was when it began, is a smart and thoughtful tribute to the people, places and things in Northern California, from north of Sacramento to the Oregon border.
InHouse Marketing has served countless businesses of all sizes with their marketing needs, from event planning to logo design to full strategic marketing.
